sassyTV ("we", "us", "the app") is a mobile application for tracking TV series. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Data We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from the identity provider. We store a user ID, display name, and avatar URL.
Usage data: Your TV library (shows, episodes watched, sentiments), follow relationships, and recommendations.
Device information: We do not collect device identifiers, location, or analytics telemetry.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide the core service: tracking shows, displaying your library, and powering social features (friends, recommendations).
To show you relevant content (trending shows, friend activity).
To respond to reports and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only:

With TMDB (The Movie Database) to retrieve show metadata. No personal data is sent to TMDB.
When required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Public Information

Your username, display name, avatar, and library (shows + sentiments) are publicly visible to other users. Episode-level watch history and sentiment notes are private.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Signing in again with the same Google or Apple account creates a new empty account.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, hashed tokens, rate limiting) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure.

7. Children

sassyTV is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via the store listing.
